Perfect! I've had 8 private lessons with Wanda in central London (and now signed-up for 8 more). We had excellent communication deciding where and when the lessons would take place. Wanda is flexible and is able to work in the evenings, after work.
Her approach to teaching is excellent. She encourages me to bring subjects to our lessons such as Italian culture, cooking, art and music. We can work slowly through the homework tasks and she has a gift of patience (very useful for beginners). She is following a tried-and-tested structure towards lesson planning. From simple everyday phrases to the more involved rules of grammar. We have great communication outside the lessons and she sends me links to videos which are very useful.
I have weekly timetabled one-2-one lessons which are fun, engaging and nicely paced for 1 1/2 hours.
My interests are to be able to visit Italy, listen and understand the language and speak confidently in everyday circumstances. I'm sure Wanda could tailor her courses around individual needs such as workplace conversations history or culture. I've tried a few times to attend classroom lessons which fill me with dread- these are the exact opposite; they are light-hearted, enjoyable and I'm learning very quickly.
I would highly recommend Wanda if you want to learn Italian with a native speaker who is a talented tutor, flexible in her approach and makes the process very rewarding.
