Stefano teaches us in a manner that schools or duolingo won't teach us: we practice talking in a more casual manner, and we practice day-to-day conversations and discussions in Italian. We practice our flow as well as our grammatical knowledge so that we can talk to each other in Italian more comfortably.
Stefano is flexible with his lessons: we can practice our grammar in one and focus on our reading and comprehension skills the next, depending on what we best need to improve on.

Stefano is a very professional but also very kind, patient and amiable teacher. I have studied with him for only one term but I have learnt a lot in that time that I had previously grappled with for years. I really like the way he teaches and plan to continue studying with him. Learning a language can be a very challenging thing to do but Stefano creates a relaxed and non-threatening space, which inspires confidence and an ability to relax, as a student. I highly recommend him.

I have just completed an eight week course with Stefano Berardi. I found that he was a well-organised, punctual, polite and friendly teacher.

I took lessons from Stefano prior to my long stay in Italy. I did two hours a week for a couple of months. He was approachable, patient and supportive of my goals for this learning. He made an effort to understand my level of Italian and tailor-made my lessons to my preferences and goals for my trip. He was also flexible to modify the lessons to conversational practice that I needed at that time. He is a teacher who puts himself in your place and creates customised lessons for the student’s benefit. His teaching style is blended, supporting the student in various ways through coaching and a bit of flipped classroom style.
