About Bronagh
I have been playing Irish Traditional Music since the age of 4, competing in multiple Feadh Cheoils. Through this I have won the All Britain fleadh cheoil numerous times on the accordion and placed 2nd on the harp and tin whistle many times as well for my age groups. I have also won the Mid-West American Fleadh on both the harp and accordion. Further to this, I have also competed against some of the worlds best musicians for my age group at the All Ireland Fleadh (finals) and attended workshops with well renowned button accordion and harp teachers.
Whilst living in Chicago, USA, I have taught the harp, button accordion and tin whistle to beginners and intermediates of all ages. I enjoy teaching and seeing my students improve in their technique and ability at the same time as enjoying playing their instrument.
Through playing Irish Music, not only have I learnt to play numerous instruments but I have met many wonderful musicians worldwide and become part of a welcoming community.

My teaching method is both learning by ear and through reading the notes. I think it is important to learn how to play by ear and how to pick up tunes just by listening to them. This is a traditional way of learning to play Irish Traditional music.
I have taught the harp, button accordion and tin whistle to beginners and intermediates of all ages. I enjoy teaching and seeing my students improve in their technique and ability at the same time as enjoying playing their instrument.
