About Beatriz
Directly from Brazil (Salvador da Bahia), Beatriz proposes to guide the students through the lively rhythms and charming movements of the sacred and traditional Brazilian dances of the Orixás, as well as leading them in the techniques of contemporary dance and classical ballet.

Beatriz trained and studied dance in Salvador, Bahia in Brazil. She taught dance and choreographed shows in London, Lisbon, Brussels, France and Germany. Currently living in Vieira de Leiria.
"Dancing in the center of the samba circle requires confidence, skill, but above all, letting yourself reverberate to the sound of drumming. There, the body becomes an instrument of submission and vocalization to sounds. There is something mystical about samba-de-roda. The swing, the sensuality, the speed of the movements, the improvising. In the middle of the circle, people turn around. In fact, for a few seconds, the view is blurred. Soon, everything takes on a new shape. Certainly, that group of arms, feet, heads, trunks and colorful clothes is no longer like people. Inside the circle, the loudest voices are heard, the palms gain more rhythm, there is a moment to let yourself be governed and another time to govern." (Impressions by Beatriz)
