About Grace
I graduated high school in New Zealand in 2020 and am currently taking a gap year, working as a PE teaching assistant in London.
I undertook the International Baccalaureate Diploma program in my last 2 years of high school, receiving a perfect score of 45/45. The subjects I took for IB were: HL Maths, HL Physics, HL Economics, SL Chinese B, SL English Literature, SL Chemistry.
Alongside IB, I pursued my academic passions outside of the curriculum. I self-studied for maths olympiad and in year 12, I was selected as 1 out of 6 team members to represent New Zealand at the International Mathematical Olympiad. I was also an avid debater, being selected as 1 of 6 speakers in the Auckland regional debating teams and going on to win the NZ National Debating Championships.
I am incredibly passionate about education and hope to inspire young kids to love learning as much as I do. My 3 years experience as a private tutor and my experience as a PE teacher have helped me refine my teaching skills and also develop an understanding of how to get the best out of my students and adapt to their needs.

I believe the focus of any lesson is always on the student. Each learner has different strengths and weaknesses
I tailor all my classes to the students needs, either helping them with work they’ve been given or providing extension resources where needed. I particularly specialise in problem solving and creative thinking in mathematics, prompting students to understand the deeper reasoning for the maths they’re applying.
