About Lavya
Hello! My name is Lavya Gurnani, and I’m passionate about helping students develop confidence and mastery in English. As an IB graduate who studied English Literature and Language at Higher Level, I developed a strong appreciation for the power of words, critical analysis, and effective communication. Being a native English speaker, I have always enjoyed guiding others in refining their skills, whether it’s breaking down complex texts, crafting compelling essays, or preparing for exams with confidence. Before university, I had the rewarding experience of teaching English in person, helping students improve their reading comprehension, writing techniques, and literary interpretation. Now, I’m excited to continue supporting students on their academic journey. While some subjects have clear-cut answers, I love how English allows for interpretation, creativity, and deep discussions—and I strive to help my students see the beauty in forming their own perspectives and arguments with clarity and confidence.
