I usually like to focus on the vocabulary and the meaning of notation used within the context of the lesson. Then I move from the simple examples to the complex examples. If needed, I will introduce prior math techniques necessary to assist in understanding the current task. If requested, I will provide links to YouTube videos connected to the topics discussed in the tutoring session, so my client will have 1-2 videos to refer to if they have issues after the tutoring session. I prefer secondary math level material. I have taught or tutored in Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Statistics, Precalculus, Calculus One, and Linear Algebra.
