About Madeline
I have been playing for ten years and I have assisted in many master classes as well as giving group lessons in schools all over Minnesota while on tour with the Concordia Band and Orchestra. I have had private students for a little over a year now and I have taken private lessons myself for just over four years.

I base my teaching first on the goals in which the student would like to achieve. Once the student and I have discussed what they would like to gain from the lessons, I move to help find pieces, techniques, and methods that will most interest them. I am open to an honest answer from my students as to if they enjoy the parts we are working on or not. Sometimes I am able to conduct a different approach to the lessons, in other instances the repertoire is much like eating your green vegetables. You might not enjoy it very much but I promise it is good for you.
