About Torian
For two decades, I have had the privilege of teaching at state colleges and universities across Massachusetts, Maryland, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. My background uniquely combines twenty years of research experience with higher education teaching, and I also have experience at the secondary education level. My teaching philosophy emphasizes applied learning and a deep understanding of concepts, rather than rote memorization for tests. If rigor is required, I am all hands on deck!

I have been employed as a full-time Chemistry teacher at a New Jersey college preparatory charter school and am currently a full-time Anatomy and Physiology teacher. While teaching at the secondary school level, I also teach as an adjunct instructor at area colleges and universities. In these roles, I have consistently demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and high expectations for student success, regardless of their background or prior experience. My teaching experience encompasses all levels of Biology, including Anatomy and Physiology, Genetics, Microbiology, Chemistry, Human Biology, cellular physiology, gene therapy, and global pandemics. My instructional experience includes traditional, hybrid, and online learning environments.
