About Mae
I am a dedicated Guitar tutor with 10 years of experience and a history of teaching around 300 students from High School, College, and adult age groups. I enjoy making guitar learning simple, enjoyable, and rewarding for all learners. My teaching style is friendly, well-organised, and focused on helping students progress steadily. My teaching philosophy focuses on building strong foundations, developing confidence, and encouraging creativity. I teach core guitar skills such as chord progressions, strumming patterns, plucking techniques, rhythm stability, and melody reading. I also include basic theory lessons to help students understand scales, keys, and how songs are formed. One of my significant achievements is helping many beginner students reach performance level within a short time. Several of them have performed at cultural programmes, college festivals, small stage shows, and even online platforms. Their achievements make me proud and motivate me to keep improving my teaching methods. My lessons are structured but flexible, allowing students to learn comfortably. I use simple language, relatable examples, and familiar songs to keep classes interesting and motivating. My aim is to guide each learner at their own pace and help them find enjoyment, confidence, and satisfaction in playing the guitar.

My teaching approach for Guitar focuses on effective communication, adapting to individual learning styles, and using real-life musical examples to make learning meaningful. I believe that every student learns differently, so I shape my lessons to fit their unique pace and interests. I teach foundational skills such as basic chords, rhythm control, strumming patterns, and proper finger placement. As students improve, I introduce scales, picking techniques, fingerstyle patterns, improvisation, and expressive playing. I connect each technique to real songs and performances so students can see its practical use. I also share simple case studies about how guitarists develop their technique and musical identity. Along with Guitar, I teach related subjects like Music Theory, Ear Training, Chord Progressions, Tablature Reading, Songwriting Basics, and Rhythm Studies. These topics help students build a strong and complete musical understanding. Communication is an important part of my lessons. I encourage students to talk about what they enjoy and where they face challenges. I adapt lessons based on their learning style—visual learners receive charts and diagrams, auditory learners get listening tasks, and hands-on learners get guided practice with slow repetitions. Each session includes structured exercises, weekly goals, and personalised feedback to help students stay motivated and see their progress clearly. My aim is to help every student become a confident, creative, and technically strong guitar player.
