About Sloane
I have 5 years of experience teaching guitar and hold a Bachelor’s in Guitar Performance and a Master’s in Music Pedagogy. My academic training strengthened my technical foundation and provided effective teaching strategies. I have supported students at beginner and intermediate levels, helping them grow steadily in confidence and ability.
I believe successful music learning requires clear structure and positive encouragement. Every student has a unique learning pace, so I adapt lessons to fit individual needs. Providing supportive feedback helps learners stay motivated and focused on progress. Seeing students enjoy playing with confidence is very rewarding for me.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring new music styles and refining my performance skills. Staying active in music keeps my lessons practical and engaging. I am dedicated to helping students build strong technique, creative thinking, and lasting enjoyment in guitar playing.

My guitar lessons are designed to build steady technical progress while encouraging creative expression. I begin by teaching proper posture, relaxed wrist movement, and correct finger placement. Students practise basic chord shapes and smooth transitions to develop comfort and control. I explain each concept in simple English so learners clearly understand how and why techniques work. Rhythm exercises are introduced early to strengthen timing and coordination. A strong foundation helps students avoid common mistakes and gain confidence.
As learners improve, we explore scale patterns, fingerstyle techniques, and barre chord mastery. I gradually introduce music theory concepts such as chord construction and song structure to deepen understanding. Students learn complete songs based on their interests, allowing them to apply new skills in a practical way. Structured practice goals help maintain steady improvement between lessons.
Performance development is also part of my teaching method. I guide students in building stage confidence, steady tempo control, and expressive dynamics. My goal is to help learners become independent musicians who feel comfortable performing and creating music. Through patience and consistent guidance, students develop both skill and confidence.
