About Mary
My name is Mary. I can describe myself as innovative, friendly, enthusiastic and respected. I am a positive person with a beautiful outlook on life. Teaching has been my greatest passion and I have been instructing students of primary and secondary levels in science and EnglishLanguage and so far, the results in their grades has been awesome. I feel a great sense of achievement in seeing my students achieve all of their academical goals and also in meeting all of their expectations academically. If I can have a positive impact on their future, then I’m doing my job excellently. I believe that my skills will put me in the right position to integrate my excellent teaching and learning techniques. I look forward to getting to know you and guiding you through English and science topics.

My aim as a tutor is to instill knowledge and confidence in my students so that they can tackle and answer test or exam questions effortlessly. The knowledge gotten from the classes won’t be for the purpose of examination alone but also to improve their understanding of grammar and pronunciation of words. This will help them speak and communicate better.
My experience is that one on one private tutoring has a strong value to students as it helps identify and resolve barriers to learning so that a better technique in understanding the subject is implemented.
My approach varies depending on student’s learning styles. I always start from the simple topics, then gradually move to the complex ones. I encourage my students to learn to think for themselves. I do not ask them to cram for the sole purpose of passing an examination nor do I do their assignments for them.
I mostly focus on exam style or paper past question in order to get them familiar with them and also to improve their understanding of the subject or topics taught.
I take great satisfaction in meeting my student’s expectations and also seeing them achieve all of their goals.
