About Kyle
I'm a Information Technology Student at JCU Townsville. Programming is without a doubt the field I'm the most confident in and will likely go into a programming job out of uni.
- I've been volunteering as a programming teacher in java, python, html/css, and C#.
- I've had a grand total of 8 students so far. (you could be the next!)
- My core focus when teaching is making sure that you understand what your looking at which I know can be hard because programming can be difficult to wrap your head around.
- My past students generally will understand the concepts I teach them and be able to move forward by themselves with much more confidence.

My lessons will be better suited to people that are:

In the average lesson I will first understand your problem or the goal that you want to achieve. Once that has been established I will judge which methods would be the best for helping you to solve your problem. From there I will guide you in the right direction and answer any questions you have on the topic.
I find that in order to teach programming, the best way to go is by using a VISUAL APPROACH. I provide working demos of what your code should look like (without giving it away too much). I provide drawings and flowcharts of how your code should and does work. I also will show you the best way to research and solve programming problems so that you can figure stuff out if I'm not there for you.
The best way to learn anything is by DOING and I will encourage that as much as possible. This is especially true for programming as you are able to see the result of your own code. What this means is that you'll be writing your own code, and also seeing what it looks like when you write it. Ultimately this is what I believe gets people hooked on programming and is what makes it fun.
