About Rani
I am an Indonesian Teacher from Bali. I graduated from University of Canterbury majoring in geography. I can help you understand context in Indonesian to help you prepare your exam, to move and to immerse yourself with ease in Indonesia. Christchurch and Bali have become a home for me.
In between my responsibility in teaching online, I enjoy doing endurance sports especially Muay Thai, running, and hybrid training.

- Go through your NCEA achievement standards and the vocabulary and topics you need
- Build listening skills with spoken Indonesian texts and practise responding in English, te reo Māori or Indonesian
- Practise reading and understanding written and visual texts
- Learn to write clear, well-structured Indonesian for the Level 3 writing standard
- Rehearse spoken interaction tasks so you feel confident and natural
- Work through practice questions and review mistakes together, aiming for Merit and Excellence

In our first session, I'll also conduct a friendly pre-test to assess your current level and make sure we start in exactly the right place. Each week, I prepare comprehensive learning materials along with practical exercises to strengthen your understanding — and I'll often set additional materials or homework to keep the momentum going between sessions. Lessons typically run between 1 to 1.5 hours. I also keep track of attendance and write a weekly activity summary so you can follow your own progress, and I regularly collect feedback to keep improving the way I teach.
Whether you're learning for travel, work, or simply a love of the language, I'm here to make every lesson count!
