About Vivian
I made contact with music an instrument of resistance and collective social transformation. From rock to samba, music has accompanied me since my adolescence, contact with various instruments has trained me as a musician in women's and children's collectives. Samba das Mina was one of those spaces that I helped build from 2012 to 2015 in Barão Geraldo (Campinas), with the proposal to learn and play samba among women, occupying public spaces and strengthening some collectives such as the Popular Legal Promoters Cida da Terra -Campinas. So I improved my voice and guitar learning, learned cavaquinho, tambourine, tambourine, grinding wheel, among other percussion instruments. Moving to the north coast of São Paulo, I participated in the construction of Samba de Sereia from 2016 to 2018, with the same intention of bringing together women in the roda de samba and occupying spaces in the city in Ilhabela. In percussion with the cajón and tambourine, I participated in Manas, a MPB duo in the same city, and in two groups from Maracatu playing the box, Batuki Kianda (Ilhabela) and Baque das Mina (São Sebastião), the latter also only between women. I helped organize the Second National Meeting of Women in the Roda de Samba 2019 in Campinas, in honor of Leci Brandão, and the following year participating in the virtual edition in honor of Elza Soares. In 2020, I was present at the Mandingueira live in honor of Sinhá Rosária (Matriarch of the group “Urucungos, Puítas e Quijengues”), this collective that performs samba circles performed by women in various neighborhoods and spaces in Campinas.
In addition to these experiences. , I also work with individual or group music workshops and classes for all ages, projects and training for professionals in the field of education, children's music, among others.
