About Kayla
Hi! I'm a recent Fairfax High School graduate and an incoming Business Information Technology student at Virginia Tech. I enjoy helping students gain confidence in their abilities and making learning less stressful. Having recently completed challenging high school and dual enrollment courses myself, I understand the material students are learning and the study habits that lead to success. I'm patient, encouraging, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build the confidence and skills they can carry into future classes.

I offer personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions lasting 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 1.5 hours, depending on each student's needs and goals. My lessons are designed for elementary and middle who want to improve their understanding, raise their grades, or build confidence in math, English, and study skills. Each session is tailored to the student's learning style and begins by identifying areas that need improvement. We then work through concepts step by step with guided practice, helpful study strategies, and time for questions. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and growing. As a recent Fairfax High School graduate and incoming Virginia Tech student, I understand today's curriculum and am passionate about helping students achieve academic success.
