About Leo
Hi! I’m Leo, an incoming medical student with a BSc in Anatomy & Cell Biology. I’ve spent several years teaching and tutoring students in science and math, and one of my favorite parts of teaching is helping students turn a subject they find intimidating into something that actually makes sense.
I know that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to the individual rather than using the same approach for everyone. Whether you’re struggling with a particular unit, preparing for an important exam, or simply want to strengthen your understanding of biology, chemistry, or physics, my goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult concepts.
I’m patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy teaching. Most importantly, I want students to leave each lesson not only understanding the material better, but feeling more confident in their ability to tackle it on their own.

My approach to tutoring is focused on understanding rather than memorization. I break difficult concepts into manageable pieces, use diagrams and real-world examples, and then work through practice problems to make sure students can apply what they have learned independently.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the topics or questions a student is struggling with. We review the underlying concepts, work through problems together, and then transition to the student solving questions independently while I provide guidance and feedback.
I have a strong background across biology, chemistry, physics, anatomy, and physiology. I also have several years of teaching and tutoring experience, which has taught me how to adapt my explanations to different learning styles rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
I tutor high school through university-level students, whether they need help understanding course material, preparing for an exam, working through problem sets, or strengthening their foundations in the sciences.
