About Tonny
I am a Physics PhD graduate from Imperial College London and a Physics graduate from the University of Oxford, with over four years of experience in one-to-one A-level tutoring and undergraduate teaching.
I enjoy teaching because I value helping students gain confidence in challenging subjects and develop clear, logical thinking. Drawing on my academic background, I aim to provide structured, supportive, and professional tuition that helps students achieve their goals, whether in exams or university applications.

My teaching approach is clear, structured, and focused on building strong fundamentals. I teach concepts from first principles, ensuring students fully understand the underlying ideas before applying them to exam and problem-solving questions. Lessons are interactive and problem-based, with an emphasis on logical thinking, accuracy, and confidence.
I adapt my teaching style to each student’s level and goals, whether this is improving exam performance, strengthening understanding, or preparing for competitive admissions such as the Oxford Physics Aptitude Test (PAT). For Python, lessons are hands-on and practical, using examples relevant but not limited to mathematics and physics.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with longer sessions available if needed.
I hold a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London and a Physics degree from the University of Oxford. I have over 4 years of experience providing 1-to-1 tutoring at middle school level, as well as teaching experience at undergraduate level.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-level students, university students, and Oxford Physics applicants.
