About Khushboo
I'm an IIM graduate with over 5 years of experience working with SAT, PSAT, GRE, and GMAT students across more than 10 countries.
But before any of that, I was a student myself, and I remember what preparation actually feels like from that side. The confusion when a concept just won't click. The frustration of putting in hours and not seeing the score move. The pressure of knowing how much is riding on a single test. I don't think you can really teach this well without understanding all of that, so that experience stays with me in every session.
What this means in practice is that I don't just focus on what a student doesn't know. I try to understand how they're thinking, where their confidence is shaky, and what's actually getting in the way. Sometimes it's a gap in fundamentals. Sometimes it's anxiety that kicks in under timed conditions. Sometimes it's that nobody has explained a concept in a way that makes sense to them yet. Whatever it is, we work on it directly.
I care about students leaving sessions feeling clearer and more capable, not just more practiced. Scores matter, and I take them seriously, but what I'm really working toward is a student who understands what they're doing and why, so that confidence carries into the exam room too.
Students I've worked with have received admits to universities including Yale, Duke, and leading European schools. More than the numbers, what stays with me is watching students go from feeling stuck to feeling genuinely prepared.

***How I Work with Students
My starting point is always how a student thinks, not what syllabus item comes next. Before we work on strategy, I want to understand where the reasoning is actually breaking down — whether that's a gap in fundamentals, a concept that was learned surface-level, or a pattern they keep repeating without realising it. That diagnostic process shapes everything that follows.
***What a Typical Session Looks Like
Most sessions move through three things: building or solidifying the concept, applying it through guided problem-solving, and then discussing what the errors are actually telling us. The first part matters more than most students expect — a lot of score stagnation comes from shaky foundations that got papered over with shortcuts. Once the understanding is solid, we work on the exam layer: pattern recognition, time management, question selection, and the kind of decision-making you need when the clock is running. The goal is that strategies feel like a natural extension of how you're thinking, not a separate set of tricks to memorise.
***What Makes This Different
A lot of SAT prep either goes too deep into content and ignores exam technique, or leans too heavily on shortcuts that fall apart under pressure. I try to do both properly — fix what needs to be fixed at the conceptual level, and then build on top of that with approaches that actually hold up in a timed setting. Everything is tailored to where you specifically are, so we're not covering ground you don't need or skipping things that are quietly costing you points.

I came to Khushboo scoring around 1200 and honestly feeling like I had hit a wall. I had been preparing on my own for months but couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Math was the biggest problem. I understood the concepts in theory but kept making mistakes on the actual test and couldn't work out why.
From the first session, she didn't just give me more practice problems. She sat with me and worked through how I was thinking about questions, and that's where it clicked. The issue wasn't that I didn't know the material. It was how I was approaching problems under time pressure. We worked on that specifically, and slowly the errors started making sense instead of just feeling random.
What I didn't expect was how much calmer I felt going into the exam. Preparation had always felt stressful before, but by the end I actually felt ready. I scored 1550, which genuinely didn't feel possible when I started. More than the number, I finally felt like I understood what I was doing and why.
If you're stuck around that 1200 mark and putting in effort without seeing results, I'd say just try one session. It's a different experience from typical tutoring.View more recommendations
