About Maya
I have been giving lessons for three years. I have taught about 15-20 students as a part time job. They receive A's - B's on their test resulting in a better grade in the clas. I have also helped students pass the Math Proficiency test which is required for graduation in some states.

Graduated High School with honors diploma. Took AP classes such as Calculus, US History, Biology and Chemistry. Currently majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Mathematics. I enjoy tutoring and have taught kids from elementary to 10th grade over the past three years. I explain the concept of the problem and explain why we use the problem and then teach the child an example. Once I finish the example I give them another problem to do in their own. Each child has a different learning style and it may take a different teacher than their own for them to understand the concept.
