About Anna
I am a graduate from the University of Toronto where I played on the varsity volleyball team for 5 years. I am a current member of Team Canada beach volleyball with hopes of attending the 2024 Olympics. At U of T, I majored in Health and Disease and minored in Physiology and Immunology. I have taken 5 years of science courses including anatomy, cell biology, physiology, chemistry, microbiology, histology, histopathology, immunology, evolutionary biology and many more. I am incredibly passionate about life sciences and hope to share my excitement for a number of biological topics with students and make science as interesting and fun as I know it can be.

I have a very flexible teaching style. I am able to adapt to individual needs where necessary but generally my main goal is deeper understanding. Science is not simply about memorizing everything, it calls for us to dig further. I think what makes me unique as a teacher/tutor is that I, not too long ago, was in the same position as many of the students I've tutored. I am a recent university graduate who knows the benefits of additional lessons in subjects we may not be so comfortable with. I have learned that it is necessary to seek help in order to achieve academic and personal success. I hope to provide a positive learning environment for the students I work with, as so many have done for me. I am able to tutor elementary level, high-school level as well as post-secondary.
