I have known Yazan for many years, having first met him in my second year of medicine when he was one academic year ahead of me. Since he recently started working as an FY1 doctor, we have not been able to spend as much time together. However, throughout our friendship, I have always known him to be kind, thoughtful, and someone who is always happy to lend a helping hand.

Over the years, we have enjoyed many trips together. One of my most memorable experiences was a trip to Windermere, where we enjoyed some fantastic food, went on a lovely walk, and spent time photographing the beautiful architecture and natural scenery as Yazan had recently developed an interest in photography and had bought himself a new camera. It was lovely to see his enthusiasm for his new hobby and to watch his photography skills develop over time.
