About Valerie
A free trial session is the right way to assess your starting level. I focus on rhythm guitar and chord transitions early on. We look at power chords and barre chords to expand your physical reach.
Improvisation and soloing become natural once you master the underlying modes. I help you see the logic in your fretboard movement. My approach prioritizes musical intuition alongside technical discipline for every player.

Music became my primary language after years of formal study and stage performances. My BMus from The Glenn Gould School grounds my technical understanding of the guitar. I have worked with 380 students ranging from young kids to self-taught players seeking better structure.
Intermediate learners and performance-focused individuals often find that my cross-genre background opens new doors. Returning learners frequently come to me because they want to bridge the gap between tabs and true fretboard fluency. I value the way a guitar can hold the weight of a classical piece or the lightness of a folk song.
