About Lumi
- 1 year of volunteer tutoring experience with an online non-for not-for-profit organization. I tutored group classes of kids in grades 1 to 4 in literacy and creative writing. I also organized 1-on-1 tutoring sessions with students from grades 1 to 9 to develop literacy skills such as reading comprehension, grammar, and essay writing.

About Me: Hello! I am a first-year university student in the Honours English program at the University of Guelph. I am studying to become an English teacher because I want to help young people express their ideas and reflect on others' perspectives through language and writing. I am very passionate about what I teach :)
Methodology:
- Through communication with both students and their parents, I create lesson plans for each tutoring session. These plans may consist of readings, worksheets, or slideshows that I work through with students.
- I am more than happy to help students with any writing assignments they may have.
- At the request of parents, I can assign small homework assignments or readings for students to complete on their own and review with me.
- I ensure that my students have a supportive learning environment where they can learn comfortably and creatively.
- I work with students intuitively, moving at a pace that allows them to progress without becoming overwhelmed.
