About Tanya
I've always had a passion for teaching and helping children discover that learning can be enjoyable. Over the years, I've gained valuable experience through homeschooling and working one-on-one with children, developing the patience and flexibility needed to adapt lessons to each student's unique learning style.
I believe that confidence is just as important as academic success. Every child learns differently, and my goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress. I enjoy breaking difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps so students feel successful instead of overwhelmed.
Whether your child needs extra support with reading, writing, English, homework, or general study skills, I am committed to helping them build both their knowledge and their confidence. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a student realize they are capable of achieving more than they believed possible.

I believe every student is capable of learning when they feel supported, encouraged, and understood. My approach is centered around patience, positive reinforcement, and adapting lessons to each student's individual learning style. I understand that every child learns differently, so I take the time to identify what works best for them rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing previous material and identifying any areas where the student may be struggling. From there, we work through new concepts using clear explanations, real-life examples, guided practice, and interactive activities. I encourage questions throughout the lesson and finish with a review to ensure the student feels confident before moving forward.
What sets me apart is my experience with homeschooling and my genuine passion for helping children build confidence in themselves as learners. I know that success isn't just about getting the right answer—it's about helping students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and developing a love of learning. My goal is to create a positive environment where students feel safe, motivated, and proud of their progress.
My lessons are ideal for elementary students who need support with reading, writing, English, homework, study skills, or homeschooling. Whether a student needs extra help catching up, wants to build stronger academic skills, or simply benefits from individualized attention, I tailor every lesson to their unique needs and learning pace.
