About Emilly
Hello! I’m Emilly Alberto, a pianist and music educator. My career spans international performance and piano teaching. I hold a Master’s degree in Musical Performance from the Haute École des Arts du Rhin (France) and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of São Paulo (USP). Additionally, I taught for two years at the École Intercommunale de Musiques Ravel in France. At USP, I also had the pleasure of serving as a teaching assistant for the piano department.
I began my musical training in Brazil at EMESP Tom Jobim. I have won awards in several national competitions, such as the Young Soloists Competition of the Minas Gerais Symphony Orchestra (OSMG), and was a finalist in the OSESP Young Soloists Competition. Throughout my career, I have performed in venues such as the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden (Germany’s largest opera house and the second largest concert hall in Europe), Sala São Paulo, and as a soloist with orchestras including the HEAR Orchestra (France), the OSMG (Brazil), and the Nova Banda Jovem de Hortolândia.
I strongly believe that music is a transformative language accessible to everyone. My goal as a teacher—whether for beginners, hobbyists, or advanced students—is to build a tailor-made path: listening to each student's goals and working together to create a study plan that is efficient, technical, expressive, and, above all, human-centered.

My teaching methodology is flexible and tailor-made to meet the needs of each student, regardless of age or experience level. I firmly believe that consistency in lessons, combined with personal practice at the instrument, is the key to steady and rewarding progress.
Lesson Structure and Teaching Methods :
Beginners & Methods: For those starting out, I use established methods such as the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library, Piano for Adults (Bastien), Thompson’s Modern Course, A Dozen a Day, among others.
Connection with the Great Masters: From the very first steps, the goal is to introduce the student to the classic repertoire (works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Schumann, Chopin, and more).
Diverse Repertoire & Autonomy: I place special emphasis on incorporating Brazilian repertoire and contemporary music. Furthermore, while the main focus remains classical piano, popular repertoire is more than welcome if the student wishes: I teach chord chart reading so you can gain true autonomy at the instrument.
