About Samantha
I'm a High School student tutoring others in Spanish, I took AP Spanish Language, had an A+ all year long and got a 5 on the exam. I was born in Venezuela, and lived the first 9 years of my life there. Then, I moved to Colombia, and lived there for 3 years. Learning English was very easy for me since I am passionate about learning foreign languages. Currently, I'm learning Portuguese on my own, my ultimate goal is to be able to speak 5 languages. I am also passionate about other things, such as sports, I play club soccer and high school soccer. I'm involved in multiple clubs at school with high level leadership positions, and I volunteer constantly at a local elementary school helping out teachers and kids.

For my lessons, I make sure to: 1. Assess the student's needs and goals: I determine the student's proficiency level, learning styles, and goal with the tutoring. 2. Set a learning goal: I determine what the student should achieve by the end of the session. 3. Structure the lesson: Since the sessions aren't long, I set a structure for the amount of time I want to spend doing each task, such as reviewing, covering new material, etc. 4. Incorporate tools and resources: I make the sessions dynamic, using resources like Spanish-language music, videos, and playing games teaching the student about the Hispanic culture as well.
