About Karla
Hola, amigos!
I'm teacher Karla, I was born in a small city in Mexico but currently, I live in Canada. As a native Spanish speaker, you will find my accent to be neutral, clear and easy to understand. I have always been passionate about teaching, in fact, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education. When I was living in Mexico, I spent more than 5 years teaching English as a second language and I also helped foreign students improve their Spanish conversational skills. My students describe me as an inclusive, energetic, empathetic, patient and observant teacher.

As a certified Early Childhood Educator, I specialize in creating successful and structured lesson plans to teach a class where my students are always engaged, motivated and excited about learning new concepts. As well as finding techniques to help them build self-confidence to speak a new language. I have experience teaching children as young as 4 years old, to adults as 50 years old. As an Educator, the best approach for a teaching methodology is to customize each one to meet the needs of my current class, as the effectiveness of different methods varies in different classrooms with unique groups of students. In class we not only make use of tech tools, such as educational songs, videos and online games, but you'll also see flashcards, maps and more.
