About Simon

I am an internationally based teacher from Australia with a background in literature and a passion for history. Indeed I see a strong correlation between the two and in order to better understand a work in literature, a historical context must be established

About the lesson

I establish culminating events in history and explore how they affected later events. I treat history as very much a subject of exploration as indeed I am discovering new information myself on this subject all the time. And, as what was previously thought to be the case and has since been revised, I too am constantly revising my own knowledge in order to better understand the past. I believe this is essential if we are to make any sense of the present or to make reasonably accurate predictions about the future.

I have known Simon for about 20 years. He was always a solid role model for my 4 children. I have been in the training and teaching industry for more than 20 years and mixed socially with Simon during that time. Professionally, Simon was always well respected by his colleagues, as I knew and associated with several of them also. Simon's dedication to professionalism and easygoing chatacter would qualify him as an excellent online tutor in my opinion.
