About Alis
I am a history graduate specialising in nineteenth century women’s history but have covered various topics throughout my degree, ranging from Tudor history, imperial history, medical and social history, feminist history and gender studies. I have studies the histories of Britain, Germany, America and Africa. Also, I have 2 years of voluntary teaching experience where I tutored English, history and art. I worked with a range of age groups, from year 7 to year 11 and with various ability groups with direct involvement and tutoring of SEN learners

My teaching method focuses on participation from students, I believe visual participation is vital for student understanding. I find using games, worksheets and projects help students of all abilities learn. My lessons are source based, I approach my research by focusing on primary sources as these allow students to understand history properly. I also use digital material in the form of PowerPoints and videos to aid students who do learn better visually.
