About Anna
I am a recent History Graduate from the University of Kent. I have experience in tutoring since I was 15 and this has helped inspire my desire to become a teacher and help students to achieve their full potential. In my GCSEs I achieved 5 A*s, 7 As and 1 B, then in my A Levels I achieved 3 As in Politics, History and English Literature. I have always found pleasure in tutoring and ensuring that my students are pushed to achieve the best of their abilities. In the next year I will be partaking in a Qualified Teacher Status Training Year so that I can have the title of a Teacher.

The typical length of time for my lessons are 45 minutes to an hour. My methodology changes depending on what the student best responds to, however ensuring regular small content tests to see any improvement are essential. In my lessons I like to go over any homework from a previous lesson together at the start of our session, so that the student is able to see if and where they went wrong, and we can work this out together. My lessons will always include a vocabulary test to learn, as this is especially important in helping students achieve a higher grade. I try to make sure that my lessons are as interactive as possible, despite being online, and use worksheets that come from either textbooks or online teaching sites. My lessons are for students looking to pass their GCSEs or primary school age children who are needing to improve their reading, or partake in their 11 Plus or SATs.
