About Tilly
I absolutely love history! from reading about the Pharaohs in year 3 to now studying Ancient History at a degree level - I am a self-proclaimed expert of the past I also absolutely love Psychology and Politics after studying them at A-level , where I achieved A*AAA in my subjects.
As a tutor - I want to help you or your child to not only understand their subject - but to also enjoy it! I believe that by helping to break down subjects into their core elements, it allows for a better and more simplified understanding of some quite difficult content!
I can assure that the passion I have for teaching, my students success and for my subjects will be unmatched. I promise to put in a great level of detail, effort and time in order to push for success!

My lessons will typically be in hour in length - but extended times can of course be accommodated in order to push students in time for exams, tests or deadlines!
I have the ability to teach ages 11-18 (KS3-A-level). I also have worked with a few students who have learning disabilities - in which I can tailor my lesson plans to.
An initial lesson will be used to understand each students needs: including their specific learning style, what they struggle with and what they excel in. After this, a chronological style of teaching will be used to go through the subject of their choice - with mini quizzes and assessments being used every 2-3 weeks
As a student, I always struggled finding resources which helped me understand my subjects, which is why I want to provide my students with as many long-hand or short-hand notes as possible as well as mini video summaries to help them consolidate their learning in an easy and reflective way.
I have worked with children as young as 4 years old, and have worked my way up to students aged 18. I have taught GCSE level tutor sessions online and I have supported students whilst I was at college alongside my own learning.
my fresh perspective will allow for a true reflection of the current syllabus, which will help students grasp their subjects perfectly!
