About Lauren
I have recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh where I completed a joint honours in history and politics. I have an intense passion for both subject areas and have completed additional research work after graduation and created my own website to encourage others to learn about historical periods and global politics. I am currently working in a school as an advanced pupil support worker for children with special needs where I assist students in their learning and assist in their teaching, whilst completing my teacher training. This demanding role has prepared me to be the perfect candidate as your tutor. My interests in both history and politics and surrounding subjects makes me passionate about teaching others and motivates me to get the best results for the student.

I am a graduate offering lessons for students at secondary level between all ages. My methods and techniques of teaching may vary depending on the individual. I believe all students develop their own way of learning and what suits them best. On meeting with the individual we will quickly discover this and structure will be presented. The goal is to get the best grades possible for the student but also to explore their passion and knowledge within my subjects. History and politics are both complex subjects that I believe are best taught through visual and practical work.
