About Pearilya
I am fully confident that my student would love working with me as a reading/literacy tutor. Learning to read and becoming fluent in it should be fun. It stimulates imagination and creativity, expands knowledge, improves language skills, builds confidence, and also creates a lifelong habit if reading is enjoyable from a young age. I want nothing more than to see my students flourish in their love for good literature.

My teaching method and technique is to ensure that as I am teaching that I can effectively explain concepts to my students. I the I do, we do, and then you do to ensure understanding.
A typical lesson for me in Phonics would be review of previous concepts, while incorporating multi-sensory approaches like hand movements or pictures to aid memory. Secondly introduce a new phonetic concept, which helps students in becoming confident and fluent readers.
My lessons are for elementary age students, grades K-2
