About Bill
My name is Bill Litwack. My wife and I have just moved to Colorado from Bangor, Maine, to be near our son, his wife and the baby they are expecting. In Maine, I taught English for 20 years in an alternative high school. My students would describe me as funny, nice, laid-back, energized and willing to do anything to bring the subject matter home to them in ways that they can understand. I believe that a teacher should be endlessly flexible and adaptive, always looking for ways to best suit the student’s needs. In addition to teaching high school (and middle school, before that) I have tutored students one-on-one, in-person and online, preparing them for the SAT, ACT and the GED. I am currently teaching an on-line class on SAT prep and one preparing students for the New York State Global History Regents exam. When I am not helping students succeed in every subject that has to do with reading, writing, grammar, history and test preparation, I am cross-country skiing, hiking, kayaking or biking on Colorado’s beautiful trails. I am looking forward to meeting you and helping you reach and surpass your academic goals.
