I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional, working in the education sector. I enjoy all aspects of education, from planning, teaching and assessing, to creating high quality resources that engage the learner. I have worked across the key stages of primary school, and with secondary school-aged learners. I am also qualified to teach adult learners (post 16) and in my current role I am head of English, delivering GCSE and Functional English courses to secondary-aged learners who struggle in mainstream settings.
Though I am confident in teaching across the range of primary subjects, my principal area of interest is science; I have sat on a science panel for the London Borough of Havering and have attended a residential course at the STEM centre in York. I am also currently writing a science curriculum resource which covers the all primary science criteria and links to maths and English criteria, with a view to broadening to cover all subjects once we are published.
