About Godfred
Hello, I’m Godfred. I’m currently studying MSc Civil Engineering at University College London (UCL), and I’ve been tutoring for nearly half a decade. I specialise in GCSE Maths, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
Through my experiences as a mentor, tutor, and Learning Support Assistant, I’ve worked with students of all abilities and learning styles. I firmly believe that every student is capable of achieving the grades they want, with the right approach and strong foundations.

◉ My Teaching Style
My teaching method is simple but effective:
1. Understand the concept clearly
2. Learn how to apply it
3. Use smart revision strategies for long-term retention
Because I’m still a student myself, I understand the pressure. The fear of failing mocks, disappointing parents, or feeling like “everyone else gets it but me” — I’ve been there. And most of the students I work with have too.
Over time, I’ve developed and adapted my approach to suit different learning styles. My aim is always to explain things clearly, take the pressure off, and help you build real confidence towards your exam. ️
◉ Lesson Structure
I divide our lessons into two types:
⫸Topic Introduction Sessions
This is where we break down a topic and go through the core concepts, making sure they align with your exam board. We go through some examples together and gradually increase the difficulty.
⫸Revision Sessions
We recap key concepts quickly, highlight the most important exam points, and then dive into structured practice:
● Targeted questions
● Exam-style problems
● Past paper drills to spot gaps and build speed
From time to time, I also share revision resources customised for your learning style.
◉ The First Lesson
The first session is all about getting to know you:
●What are your goals?
●Are you trying to pass or aiming for top grades?
●What areas do you struggle with most?
◉ A Note for Parents
I understand how hard it is when you want to help your child but don’t know how. You want to see them succeed and get the grades they need for their next step. I’m here to support that process and work with your child to make sure it happens. Will be providing feedback regularly on your child's progress, so you will be aware of what’s happening.
◉ Final Word
Most students I’ve worked with say the same thing: “I wish we’d found you earlier.” Truth is, I just teach the way I wish I was taught: not too fast, not vague, just clear and calm. I also work with students who need additional support, including those with SEND.
