About David
I hold a PhD in Physics from Cambridge and a Master in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford. I moreover have over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring at some of the top universities in the world (incl. Stanford and Cambridge). As a professor, I have successfully taught and tutored many university students (from 1st year to PhD level), and helped them develop their skills, build self-confidence, and grow into independent learners and thinkers.
My goal is to help you develop your skills, build self-confidence, and successfully prepare for exams, dissertations and presentations.

My approach to tutoring:
I am passionate about tuition, and I have over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring at some of the top universities in the world (incl. Stanford and Cambridge). The subjects I have taught are: general physics, materials science, nanoscale physics, surface chemistry, physico-chemistry, nanotechnology, optics, polymers, electronics, photovoltaics, logic, probability, statistics and more.
My teaching style is interactive and engaging. I will use clear explanations, drawings, analogies, examples and exercises to help you understand important concepts and methods, and successfully prepare for exams. Moreover, thanks to my research experience, I will also help you understand concepts not only from theory but also from a practical point of view using examples drawn from current research and new technologies.
Finally, I offer students the opportunity to improve their scientific writing and presentation skills, applications, dissertations, and research projects (up to PhD level).
Typical lesson length: 1 to 2 hours
