About Dr Mike
I just retired from 60 years of K-12 classroom teaching, specialized teaching, school leadership spanning 6 decades of university teaching and administration, and serving as a national consultant in education. I have taught or worked in 46 states. I have written 9 books in education. I have experience in international teaching, ESoL, and special education and autism. My philosophy is, "If it's worth being done, it ought to be fun," and "anybody can learn anything."

I have a PhD in curriculum and instruction, with a 2nd PhD in Cognitive Literacy.
I am an inductive teacher, and I use a constructivist approach to instruction. I tend to use natural, real-life activities in favor of worksheets and drill/practice.
