About Gabriela
As a dedicated tutor with a passion for fostering literacy skills in young learners, I teach young learners how to read and write effectively. As a high school student who is strong in English reading and writing subjects, I focus on building confidence in my students while guiding them through the foundational skills necessary for academic success. My teaching approach combines both engaging teaching methods for young students and personalized instruction tailored to each student's needs.

My teaching methodology focuses on creating a fun and engaging learning environment where my students can feel comfortable expressing themselves as well as making mistakes. Each lesson typically begins with a short review of previously learned material to reinforce their understanding and for me to get a feel of where they're at. I introduce new concepts through storytelling, phonics games, or writing exercises so my students remain engaged and have fun learning! I make sure to provide my students with constructive feedback throughout the lesson, and conclude the session with a recap of what we learned. My goal is to make sure each student feels accomplished and excited about reading and writing at the end of each session!
