About Amber
Being a senior in high school, I know school can be very difficult to want to go to or be at if you don't understand certain things or have some learning disabilities that others just don't understand. I used to struggle a lot in school due to my ADHD and I know that it can be frustrating when you can't understand the work you need to do. I can adapt teaching methods for students based on their needs and the way that they learn or prefer to learn. After finally being able to learn the way that was need for me I am excelling in school within many different subjects.

I allow students to try to complete work themselves first and go over with them where they may have made an error and explain to them how to fix it. I also teach different ways to solve a problem that may benefit a student more or be an easier way for them to learn. Using a reward system allows for kids to try problems without my help and in doing so with a correct answer they can receive a reward. I provide kids with clear notes and practice problems that they are struggling with to better strengthen their abilities in that subject. I can work with kids that have certain learning disabilities such as, ADD and ADHD. keeping them focused on tasks and helping them learn different as I know it can be frustrating for them when they don't understand things, as I myself have struggled with ADHD.
