About Edyth
My name is Edyth, and I'm a dual enrolled senior at Weatherford College. I've spent my past high school and beginning college classes taking courses in English Comprehension and Writing as well as Literature and Creative Writing. I understand how school work can be challenging or seem daunting, and I hope my tutoring can help boost confidence and establish a more accessible foundation for learning. I have a passion for teaching and I'm willing to take students of any reading or schooling level! :)

Hi! I'm an easygoing teacher who makes learning concepts balanced and achievable. My focuses are building comprehension skills and maintaining understanding instead of just memorizing. My lessons meet students where they're at to keep studying from being overwhelming and maximizing the student's potential. I typically tutor for middle and high school ages, but I'm open to younger students as well. I'm prepared to balance my sessions based on what basics the student is/has already worked through.
A main lesson plan from me for a high school or middle school student would cover reading comprehension and writing skill sets to see where the student is academically. Next, we'll identify goals- upcoming tests, areas to strengthen, and overall ability. Regular lessons would center on themes of hands-on explanations for understanding and actually working through concepts together: sentence structuring, essay review or editing, finer grammar rules.
Learning can be difficult and discouraging sometimes, and I believe that's why supportive and flexible teaching can be so impacting to help create and maintain long-term skills in schoolwork!
