About Sura
I am enthusiastic and have a very flexible and adaptable personality. I think these benefit me when tutoring because it helps maintain an excited mood when learning and it allows me to cater to the student. Some of my personal interests are physics, I love learning new things in physics. I just think it is so fascinating. I’m also an art person. I really enjoy all forms of art, but my preferred mediums are ceramics, drawing, and painting. I also enjoy outdoor activities, hiking, tennis, and badminton.

I will focus on personalized learning, each student learning differently, and I will aim to cater to the students needs to optimize their learning. A typical lesson plan will start with identifying the students strengths and weaknesses in the particular subject, then in order to tackle the weaknesses we will build up on the basics needed to master the topic, lastly applying those strategies to different problems that range in difficulty. Me being a student, I understand the struggles students experience in learning. I also believe in understanding rather than memorizing. From first hand experience, memorization gets you nowhere. Truly understanding the reasoning behind why things are the way that they are is beneficial long-term, plus it makes learning way more fun. My lessons are geared towards any students taking algebra, middle school to high school. However I am willing to teach lower level math if that is wanted. My lessons are also for anyone taking SL Physics, ranging from normal level to honors.
