About Izabel
I believe that every student is capable of amazing things. I am currently in a speech and debate league and have been very successful. In my free time, I enjoy painting, writing, reading, and hiking. I also enjoy volunteering at animal shelters, doing yard work and landscaping for seniors and disabled, and much more. I love taking a less intense and easy-going teaching approach, while keeping the students first as well and ensuring learning comprehension. Thanks for getting to know me more! I have an Inquiry-based teaching style. I believe that students should completely understand a concept and ask as many questions as necessary to fully grasp and apply the lessons.
My typical lesson plan goes something like this:
First 10-15 minutes: Review of past lessons to ensure understanding.
40-60 minutes: Go over new lessons and assignments, walk through how to answer and complete.
10-15 minutes: Ask any questions, go over plan for completion.
What sets me apart as a tutor: Friendly, compassionate, straightforward. Students go first.
My lessons are for elementary to middle school aged kids. I take a fun approach on learning.
