About Jason
I have been tutoring students in math, physics, and chemistry for 6 years and have been a high school physics and chemistry teacher in Massachusetts for the past 4 years, including one year where I taught AP chemistry. As a teacher, I always focus on the needs of my students. I want my students to understand the content, connect the content with their personal interests or curiosity, and feel supporting in learning and growing.
I helped students adjust to remote learning when the pandemic began, and I am skilled at using technologies designed to promote learning at home. I am excited to help you learn about physics and chemistry from home!

I can provide support to high school physics and chemistry students or AP chemistry students. I am an excellent listener, I care about both your learning and your well-being, and I look for ways of supporting you in being able to solve problems on your own.
As a tutor, I like to start by finding out what you already know on a given topic, then present you with a problem you might encounter, often a real-world example, and help you work through it. From there I like to give you a couple of practice problems of increasing difficulty, helping you work through them as you need. I am also happy to work through problems you are struggling with from school or discuss topics from class you are confused by.
