About Gage Edgar
I spent the last 5 years teaching high school math at the Link School in Colorado. Before that, I was a math and physics major at my college (Principia College), where I tutored students in calculus, statistics, and other college math subjects. As someone who taught during the pandemic, I am well versed with teaching methods over video call.

My philosophy as a tutor is that I see my job as helping you grow in your own independent learning skills. I believe every student is capable of understanding math well. As a teacher, I have found that students struggle the most when there are gaps in their understanding from previous classes. Thus, I will heavily emphasize reviewing previous material to shore up any gaps so you can move forward confidently at your present level. Also, since math is not a spectator sport, I will also heavily emphasize practice problems while providing necessary feedback along the way.
I have experience teaching all levels of high school math, and I am comfortable with all math levels of K-12. As a physics major, I am also comfortable with tutoring high school physics.
