I am a math teacher with 7 years of experience. I have my Master's degree from Florida Atlantic University, specialist degree from University of West Florida and working on PHD degree. I have been teaching different grade levels and subject of math .

Based on the students’ academic level and part of the instruction, I use student-centered and teacher-centered approaches. When I teach completely new concept, I use direct instruction method. This method uses the teacher as a model of instruction, to transfer the information and knowledge, to lead by example, and students learn by observation. Also, I used teacher-centered method with students who have low communication skills, feel unable to ask questions, have difficulty to work as a group. I prefer student-centered approach if the instruction is based on the previous knowledge and students have enough background information to use and build new knowledge. With this teaching style, teacher is a facilitator and supportive figure. Teacher and students undergo the learning process together.
