About Ruby
English has been a long-standing passion of mine, and I’ve always found joy in both writing and reading. Throughout high school, I particularly loved exploring complex texts and expressing ideas through creative and analytical writing. For my English Extension 2 major work, I wrote a creative non-fiction piece exploring the nature of memory—an experience that deepened my appreciation for storytelling and the power of language. Currently, I’m studying a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics at university, where I continue to pursue my love for English through elective subjects. My academic journey reflects my ongoing commitment to language, literature, and critical thinking, and I’m excited to share that enthusiasm through tutoring.

I believe that learning English can come naturally to anyone with the right teaching approach. As an English enthusiast, I graduated high school with an ATAR above 90 and was recognised on the Honour Roll for my achievements in HSC English Advanced, Extension 1, and Extension 2. I am passionate about teaching English at all levels—whether it's for primary school, high school, or HSC students—and I tailor each lesson to suit the individual needs of the student. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I take pride in adapting my teaching style accordingly. I have prior tutoring experience and access to a wide range of high-quality resources, which I incorporate into my lessons to make them engaging, effective, and personalised.
