About Kim
I taught Anatomy for two years as an alternative route teacher. I love helping struggling students master this very difficult material and make it into college. However, I want a more student-centered environment than most public classrooms can offer. Consequently, I have a firm 10 student limit on groups.

In my own standards based classes, we study the human body as a set of systems. We survey the whole, then investigate each system. I use a variety of direct instruction and inquiry. I follow NGSS recommends for lesson structure.
When tutoring, I stick with the classroom teacher's material, and suppliment with my own only if necessary. Teachers have different methods, and that keeps the student from doing double work.
