About Kevin
I have a BEng (Hons) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and A-Levels in Maths and Physics. I spent 14 years managing highly complex, technical projects for some of the largest companies in the Oil and Gas Industry. However, due to the serious environmental impacts caused by this industry, I chose to leave and apply my experience and skills to a more worthwhile endeavour.
So, I decided to become a Maths tutor approximately 12 months ago, specialising in teaching KS3 - GCSE Maths. I have personally tutored 11 students, all of whom achieved better exam grades and moved on to do very well at A-levels.
I have since founded an online Maths tuition service (PureMaths), to offer Tuition directly to students, with the aim of improving their knowledge, enjoyment and confidence in the subject, so they can excel at exams and their future academic endeavours.

My teaching approach and method has been partly informed by observing teachers, both good and bad, over many years as a pupil and student. More importantly, during my time in industry, my role required me to successfully guide and mentor many young colleagues to make sure they learned and understood their roles. So I am able to apply this experience to connect and teach students in a more effective manner.
My approach is primarily to build genuine rapport and engage with students in order to create an environment in which clear communication, respect and collaboration allows them to learn quickly and strengthen their confidence.

Details
Our normal rates are £25/hr for KS3 Maths students and £35/hr for GCSE Maths students. We are offering £22.50/hr and £31.50/hr, respectively, for 10 lesson bookings and £20/hr and £28/hr for 20 lesson bookings.
We also guarantee a full refund if you don't improve your grades.
